Dr. Ota, a psychiatrist, is called by his friend James in America to meet Elizabeth, a girl he is treating and looking after. At first glance, Elizabeth appears to be a normal, innocent girl, but she suffers from a rare disease called dissociative identity disorder, meaning she has multiple personalities.
