Yukimasa's family has a curse and now from his father to him, he inherits the same curse. With the exchange of a sake drink, Yukimasa can now see youkai and gods. One god in particular is there to protect him, a sadistic rabbit god! Even though he looks like a child, Shironiji is not - he's just preserving energy in his smaller form but when he takes a drink of sake - he regains his original form.
