Alexandra Kim, a Woman of Siberia

The turn of the 20th century. From the Korean village in Siberia where she was born, to Khabarovsk where she founded the Far Eastern People's Committee for Lenin, Alexandra Kim (1885-1918) dedicated her dazzling life to the defense of workers' rights. At the risk of her life, this Korean Bolshevik revolutionary became the sounding board for the anger of Russian, Korean and Chinese proletarians, constantly endangered by their working conditions. A convinced political activist, she accomplished each of her actions with a soul and a will that no force could hinder. Blending into the panorama of a tumultuous time, a porous region, and a merciless society, the unknown destiny of this woman was to live her life according to a horizon where freedom, like the landscape, would be offered to all.
