The series is about a man named Kusaka who has a fascination for marshmallows. Kusaka gets involved in a relationship with an office lady named Wakabayashi, and the story focuses on their relationship in the workplace.

Susumu is a high school history teacher who is constantly sleep-deprived due to his next door neighbors in his apartment building having loud, continuous sex every night. The only time he can find time to sleep is during afternoon break at his school. But Ikuno Wakabayashi, a first-year nurse's aid who is drawn to him, always finds some way to get in the way of his much needed rest.
