Ichino, Ochiru and Ni have been friends since high school. Ichiro works as a secretary, Ni is a freeter, one of the many young Japanese who choose to do part-time jobs and refuse to enter the traditional world of work and pursue a career. Ochiru, on the other hand, is the only one of the three to have married, only to discover that married life sucks: she got pregnant, she had an abortion, her husband cheats on her, and the two practically don't talk about her anymore. Ochiru always carries an unsigned divorce petition as a kind of talisman. But there is a secret that binds the three girls and it is their involvement in a clandestine relationship.
