In the town of Pada on the continent of Alecrast a mysterious addictive drug known as “Devil’s Breath” is causing people to behave erratically and eventually die. A band of adventurers, including warrior Bart, the young sorcerer Rizan, the elf Silarm and the grassrunner Plum investigate what is behind “Devil’s Breath”. As they follow several leads through the town they stumble upon a party led by a female thief called Nightshade and a cult who follow the god Mireef. Based on the SNES game Sword World SFC, which is based on the 2 volume light novel *Sword World: Island of the Dead God*.
