Laid off from his job as a chef, Hidenao Kanohara decided to visit Kyoto to take his mind off things. While touring an inari shrine, he became lost in the woods and found himself taken to the kitsune village where young fox spirits live. When he saw the kits eating instant noodles, Kanohara was inspired to cook up some real food. The kitsune loved it so much that they convinced him to stay to cook for them. But the presence of a human in the spirit realm caused an unexpected twists in the space-time!

Hidehisa Kanohara, a chef, gets suspended from work due to some trouble at his workplace. So in order to take a mental break, he decides to tour the many shrines in Kyoto, and ends up wondering into a realm where all the gods of good harvest gather. There, Hidehisa finds many small foxes bustling around that are all candidates to become gods, but his spirit as a chef really gets fired up after seeing the foxes chowing down on nothing but instant foods. He instinctively cooks the foxes a meal that brings them absolutely delight, and before he knows it, he's been put in charge of making all of their meals.
