The major part of it is a battle called "Shadow Skills" that is fought with only the hands and feet. It begins when the historical warriors chant the words "We are invincible!" and obtain superhuman powers.

Set in New York in the late 1980s, Partners follows the lives of six close friends who also happen to be leathermen. The manga depicts their relationships -- both sexual and emotional -- with unabashed honesty. While the story practically explodes off the page with a continuous, unremitting and glorious parade of smut, it isn't "meaningless sex" -- these are committed couples in full-time relationships, where pleasure and pain are natural expressions of affection for one another. (You guessed it; that's where the manga's name comes from. They're "partners.") The six friends that star in this manga are split up into three pairs. The main pair consists of Marlon and Doug, around whose relationship the manga revolves. Marlon, a high-flying executive, plays sub and devoted masochist to the beautifully dominant Doug. Doug is, interestingly enough, a janitor at the very company Marlon directs; during the average workday, they barely even make eye-contact. The contrast between their private and public lives is as stark as it is lovely. Moretsu Ataro is one of the four classic gag manga written and illustrated by Akatsuka Fujio. However, of the four it is probably the least popular. However, Ataro is also of the four slightly more plot focused than the others. While episodic, major changes to characters do happen throughout the series, one such that happens early on, and contributes the main premise of the manga, is the titular Ataro's father, Batsugoro, dies. However, his ghost is still remaining, as to assist Ataro in running the family's vegetable stand and protect it from various thieves or other antagonists. Aside from the main plot side characters also get a decent amount of time spent, such as Nyarome, a talking stray cat, whom would later become more popular than even Ataro and appear in some of Akatsuka's other works.

Fujio Akatsuka's most popular work, serialized in Shounen Sunday and other magazines! The six children, Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Todomatsu, along with Chibita, Iyami, Hatabou, and many other unique characters, all cry and laugh together! This series helped establish Akatsuka's reputation as a gag comic artist, long before his other popular manga, Tensai Bakabon. Osomatsu-kun has appeared in numerous special issues of Shounen Sunday.
