When gentle giant police officer Ippei Hyodo is forced to witness the brutal murder of both his younger sister and police partner, the gentle "Elephant" becomes a "Mammoth" overnight and goes above the law to slowly pick off each man standing between him and his loved one's assassin.
The story starts with Ogata Shinsaku, a homeless 17-year-old boy who was disowned by his father and head of a major company, Tatsumi Takaaki. One day, an old man appears and gives Shinsaku 100 million yen, urging him to use it as he sees fit, so he starts his own company to fight against his father's business empire.
The time is the end of the century, the seas have dried up and the earth has been torn apart, a man in a leather jacket confronts the bad guys that hurts the weak and a loud shout overlaps as he brilliantly defeats the enemy. "Cuut!!". Both the withered seas and the torn earth are large drama sets. This is a record of the blood, tears and sweat of the persons who spent day and night filming the drama "Hokuto no Ken".
In this very zany take on the dramatic series by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara, the end of the century… wasn't so bad, actually. A very special and brave Holy Emperor, Souther, wants to become more "involved" and to be on "friendly terms" with the noble Kenshiro & his posse. Especially Kenshiro. Due to his very outgoing nature, he also crashes the homes of his other buddies, often when they especially don't want him to show up! Join Souther as he releases his feelings in heart-throbbing, mind-bending confessions, settles complex and engrossing territorial disputes with deep and intricate consequences, enjoys the simple and introspective pleasures of a quiet dinner, and climbs the top of the rough and brutal pyramid that is the idol world - with the help of his best buddies, of course! Maybe even Kenshiro will be there - who knows! By the time it got its anime in 2015, Strawberry Flavor had sold over 1 million copies in Japan. The anime was composed of 2-minute long, abridged adaptations of select chapters from the first three volumes. They were placed after the main episodes of DD Fist of the North Star season 2. Every volume also contains at least one gaiden (side story). These gaiden are drawn in Yukito's (the elder sister of Yukito Imouto) normal artstyle, and expand on characters who did not receive gaiden during the Hokuto Gaiden period in the late 2000's. Gaiden List: Volume 1: Spade, Club & Diamond, Heart Volume 2: Souther Volume 3: Shuren & Huey Volume 4: Fudo Volume 5: Yuda Volume 6: Shin Volume 7: Falco & friends, Ein Volume 8: Ogai Volume 9: Devil Rebirth
The spin-off manga follows the "genius" Amiba, who can learn any fighting style faster than anyone else. After he is defeated by the original series' protagonist Kenshiro and dies, he wakes up in another world and begins a new adventure.
The protagonist of the story is Joji Kano, a detective employed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's special crimes division, which handles serious criminal cases. His gun of choice is a customized .44 Magnum-caliber Ruger Blackhawk. Even though Kano and his co-workers are criticized by the media and society, he doesn't mind the criticism at all. Even though Kano has no pity for serious criminals, he holds a gentle respect for children and elderly people, as well as former criminals who want to redeem themselves from their past behavior.
Similar to Sanctuary, Odyssey is another story on thought-provoking political revolution. This time the theater is international, as a group of young government elites execute their secret plan to rise Japan as the economic and military superpower in the Far East. How will they carry out their objectives? Is it through a new military presence, or through Japan's economy know-how? How will the U.S. respond to Japan's new "independence," and will the political and economic figures in control of Japan now let these young elites re-shape their world?
He Who Rides With Me is a special 30th anniversary chapter of Hokuto no Ken, set during the timeline gap between Chapters 136 (the end of the Last Nanto General arc) and 137 (the beginning of the Tentei arc). It was originally published as a two-part story in the May and June 2014 issues of Comic Zenon under the title of Hokuto no Ken: Last Piece and was later collected in Volume 11 of the Extreme Edition (kyūkyokuban) of the manga.
A oneshot story about Kenshiro's sifu Ryuken and also the other adoptive brothers. Elaborates on how he chose the Hokuto Shinken successor and the events related to it.
