In 1661, Yasui Santetsu is a member of the Yasui House of the Four Houses of Go. However, he's beginning to doubt that Go is his true calling. Outside of the Go house, he goes by the name Shibukawa Harumi, and he's fascinated by mathematical and astronomical problems. Specifically, Harumi is pouring all of his energy into creating a new Japanese calender. The story is based on the actual astronomer and calender-reformer Shibukawa Harumi (1639-1715). In Harumi's time, the Japanese used the Chinese lunar-solar Xuan-ming calendar, which had not been updated in nearly 800 years. At that point, there was already a two-day delay in the winter solstice. He reformed the calendar based on his careful astronomical observations.
The "new sci-fi, cyberpunk film project" is an adaptation of Dazai's novel. The year is 2036. The agency recruited children that had physical disabilities and they were given prosthetic parts that helped them become human weapons. The elite members of Cerebus are teenage girls code-named Suzutsuki, Kagerou, and Yugiri. They use advanced technology and combat capabilities to exterminate the diseases that have infested the city.
In 2016, in the Austrian city of Miliopolis (formerly known as Vienna), people believe in various gods, and they fight and throw their lives away for them. One day, the religious student Touma runs into a beautiful young woman named Ageha. Shortly thereafter, they're attacked by terrorists. Then Touma learns, as she rescues him, that she's actually a human weapon, with high-tech mechanized body parts. Ageha, and others like her, fight terrorism in the chaos of Miliopolis! Source: MU
Boiled is anotherwise excellent soldier guilty of a "friendly fire" incident after bombing an allied army while under the influence of methamphetamines. Sequestered away into a secret, experimental, military lab Boiled finds the way to overcome his drug addiction and regain his lost career... and gains the ability to manipulate gravity. For the laboratory the results are damning, the side-effects making their experiments too dangerous to be left alone. The entire experiment needs to be buried, and for Boiled, the execution force is closing in.
