Machiko has a very special job; she's maguro bait! Everyday, she goes out with the burly maguro fisherman Nakamura on the Tairyoumaru boat, puts a fishhook in her mouth, and dives into the water to be eaten by a giant maguro fish. One day, she and Nakamura encounter Ogawa, an ex-salaryman who abandoned his old life for the simpler and happier one of a fisherman. Ogawa takes an instant interest in Machiko, and starts trying to find a way to improve her life...
