A high-school boy named Manaka Hiromi is given the magical power of the Red Garnet Princess to defeat the Devil King who is trying to escape Hell (or something like that). Unfortunately for him he's also given the sort of body that comes with the job description.

Now no one, including Hajime himself, is quite sure which is the real Hajime and which is the automata.

Shinya owns a special shop named, Omoiro, that serves both humans and vampires known as "bats". There is a secret the shop owner has been holding for the past 10 years; it is to give blood to the man who has been his caretaker, Sunakawa Sanshirou, since the time he was a high school student. Since suddenly being attacked by a vampire while heading to a dinner, Sunakawa has became a "bat". Shinya decided the best way to stay connected to Sunakawa's is by making their relationship that of a Master & servant by giving him blood, hoping it would keep him by his side.

The stories are situated to a research laboratory where the people who are alive and not infected by the disease try to survive while an overwhelming amount of zombies roam around the research facility making it impossible to escape.
