From Ponent Mon: Seventeen authors (nine from France or French-speaking countries, eight from Japan) brought together in the same book, a succession of freely created short stories about the same universe: Japan. The French, of course, journeyed to Japan for the occasion. Each cartoonist was sent for two weeks to a different city in the archipelago (Joann Sfar in Tôkyô, Emmanuel Guibert in Kyôto, Nicolas de Crécy in Nagoya, etc.) to bring back an original creation. The Japanese tell us about their district, the city where they live or where they originally come from (Kazuichi Hanawa's story being about the northern island of Hokkaido, Jiro Taniguchi's about the town of Tottori, etc.) The result is often inspired, always surprising: Japan through new eyes. "Japan" will appear simultaneously in French, Japanese, Spanish, Italian and English. Along with "A Patch Of Dreams" by Hideji Oda, it is the first step in a series of international creations with left-to-right reading direction, created for us by some of the best European and Japanese comic book artists. 1-2.) **Tengoku mo Jigoku mo** (All of Heaven and Hell) Himeno and Shirota have been friends since high school, even though their lives have gone in very different directions. They see each other occasionally, but both are wary of revealing secrets about themselves, so their conversations remain superficial. Until a pleading phone call at a crucial moment shows they both know more about each other than suspected. 3-4.) **Tengoku mo Jigoku mo -phase 2-** (All of Heaven and Hell -phase 2-) The story of Himeno and Shirota continues. 5.) **Hanayome ni Yoroshiku** (Please Greet the New Bride) At the wedding of his former lover, Tomoda makes a horrible gaff, revealing the groom's (former?) homosexuality to the father of the bride, Noritake-san. Noritake-san seems eager to split the new married couple up, and he is determined to get Tomoda to help him out.

Every night, when Hiura closes his eyes, he sees the same dream - one where he's in bed with another man. This man could only be Kageyama, an old classmate, and lawyer who Hiura considers his only friend.
