From ANN: The America-based online bookstore Glacier Bay Books announced on Friday that it will release Glaeolia, a collection of indie manga, in English. The volume will feature more than 250 pages. Glacier Bay Books describes the collection: We're proud to announce Glaeolia, a new 250+ page English-language collection of indie manga, with stories from Arantoochika, Hiuchi tana, Kawakatsu Tokushige, Masumura Jūshichi, mogcom, Moriizumi Takehito, Morita Rui, Okuda Akiko, Onta Niwako, Shinnosuke Saika, Yamakawa Naoto, and Yosomachi. What if Osamu Tezuka were still alive and creating manga today? What kind of manga would he draw? To answer this question, Tezuka Productions and Kioxia (formerly Toshiba Memory) launched the **"TEZUKA2020"** project: an initiative to create a new Osamu Tezuka manga using AI (artificial intelligence) technology. A manga consists of two main elements: **story** and **art**. For "TEZUKA2020", vast amounts of data on plots and characters from Tezuka's works were extracted and fed into an AI system. Through a process of trial and error, they created what is considered the **world's first manga whose production involved AI**. This book not only details the **production process**, but also includes the resulting work: **"PAIDON" (ぱいどん)**. Furthermore, it contains **"Haetataki" (ハエたたき)**, a chapter from **"Suspicion" (サスピション)**, an AI-related story Tezuka himself drew approximately **40 years ago**. *Source: Kodansha, translated*
