The year is 2039, and giant, monstrous insects arise from the earth in Russia. Bowing down to US and other Allied Forces, Japan resorts to a dark solution: using some of their country, called "Workforce Adjusters" —a generation born from artificial insemination that were once used for cheap labor, now left jobless due to a recession-stricken economy.
In a world where gods of weather exist, Higasa, the overwhelmingly cheerful god of clear skies, seems to be avoided by the new snow god, Rikka. He seems to get along well with the wind and clouds, so why is he the only one...? Rikka confronts Higasa with a unique reason for disliking snow: "I have no intention of getting along with you. Sunshine melts us away." Higasa is left speechless. Rikka pours out his emotions completely, but Higasa wants to slowly but surely get closer to him, wanting to melt away Rikka's stubborn feelings. Before he knows it, Higasa can't take his eyes off Rikka!
