Prequel

novel

For Tohko Amano, a third-year high-school student and self-styled “book girl,” being the head of the literary club is more than just an extracurricular activity. It’s her bread and butter…literally! Tohko is actually a literature-gobbling demon, who can be found at all hours of the day munching on torn out pages from all kinds of books. But for Tohko, the real delicacies are hand-written stories. To satisfy her gourmet tastes, she’s employed (rather, browbeaten) one Konoha Inoue, who scribbles away each day after school to satisfy Tohko’s appetite. But when another student comes knocking on the literary club door for advice on writing love letters, will Tohko discover a new kind of delicacy? Sequel

novel

"Hey! There are pages missing in this book!" One day Tohko borrows a book from the library, but there are pages missing--sliced right out of it. There's no way the Book Girl, who loves books so much that she devours them, is going to stay silent about this! Caught up in Tohko's rampage, Konoha and his classmate Akutagawa are even forced (though they have no idea why) to perform a play for the school's culture fair. But Tohko and Konoha glimpse the darkness in his classmate's heart and of the madness that has driven him into a corner. A soul stands immobilized, bound up by the mistakes of the past. Will the Book Girl be able to set it free? (Source: Yen Press)

Adaptation

manga

Our protagonist, Inoue Konoha is still being led around by his senpai, the Literature Club's President, self-acclaimed "Literature Girl" who loves stories so much that she can eat them, Amano Touko. One day, someone put in the Literature Club's "Love Consultation Post Box" a bunch of paper scraps that have the words like "Hate", "Ghost is" and a bunch of puzzling numbers on them. Calling the act as "picking a fight with the Literature Club", Touko once again got Konoha involved in her investigation; but when they found the culprit, this girl turned toward them, smile, then said "I'm already dead."
