Short Stories

Produced between 1996 and 2004, these Chinese short stories are clearly influenced by their Japanese neighbours. In a few pages, YAN Kai gives us each time a realistic portrait of his characters (special mention to "The chair", story of a nascent love, seen from a class-room chair), confronted to daily situations from which they suffer, love or hate. A bunch of life slices, for everyone's pleasure. This book has also been published in Italy.
