Reason, routine, and rules. These are the tenets that computer science major Sangwoo Choo lives by, so when the rest of his teammates fail to contribute to their group’s presentation, he cuts their names from the project—including that of a complete no-show, whose plans to graduate and study abroad have gone down the drain as a result. Not that that’s any of Sangwoo’s business…until he realizes that Jaeyoung Jang, the talented design major he was hoping to hire for his video game, is: one, that very same classmate, and two, hell-bent on returning the favor and being the biggest thorn in his side! Will Sangwoo be able to debug this semantic error before it upends his entire life?

Jaeyoung Jang has changed. In fact, he’s actually being…nice? Jaeyoung ver. 2.0 now jokes around with Sangwoo, pulls his weight with the group skit, and, strangest of all, keeps giving Sangwoo affectionate little touches here and there. The problem is, every little thing he does keeps making Sangwoo malfunction! Considering his current options—either avoid Jaeyoung like the plague and get his life back in order or roll with the punches and enjoy Jaeyoung’s company— Sangwoo’s path forward seems obvious, but are things as clear-cut as he’d like to believe?

When it comes to Sangwoo, Jaeyoung’s got his work cut out for him. First of all, Sangwoo refuses to entertain the idea of a male partner despite clearly having the hots for Jaeyoung. It doesn’t help that Sangwoo is a complete newbie when it comes to romance and relationships. And the cherry on top—Jaeyoung’s got an honest-to-goodness rival to fend off! At least he’s managed to persuade Sangwoo to keep things purely physical, but with rising libidos and emotions, that may be harder than either of them could’ve anticipated!

After countless bumps in the road, Sangwoo and Jaeyoung are getting along better than ever—in fact, they can barely keep their hands off each other! Things are so fantastic that they can almost forget about Jaeyoung’s study-abroad plans looming over them. Although they’re closer than ever before, Sangwoo and Jaeyoung can’t shake the tension and unease of their inevitable separation at the end of the semester looming over them. Getting rid of the semantic error that is Jaeyoung Jang had been Sangwoo’s deepest wish for the longest time…so why does he now feel so heartbroken at the thought? In fact, staying away doesn’t seem to be an option anymore, and after being ghosted for days, Sangwoo finds himself taking drastic measures to get Jaeyoung’s attention. Which begs the question: Is Jaeyoung still a mere semantic error, or something more—and if the latter, is Sangwoo ready to accept this relationship for what it is, abnormalities and all?
