Plum, as her family calls her, is a tiger-striped cat that lives with Miss Nakari, a single mother to her teenaged son, Taku. Plum can understand what people say to her, and she can even tell what’s in their minds. She also has many friends among the neighborhood cats. All is well in her everyday life, until the day a mischievous kitten named Snowball joins Plum’s happy household. Will the naughty little newcomer turn Plum’s world completely topsy turvy? Or will Snowball make her life even sweeter?
Plum and Snowball get festive! Valentine’s Day is here, but instead of feeling the love, Plum has to keep Snowball from gobbling up all the tasty treats…including Plum’s tail! The kitty cuisine chaos continues when Plum inadvertently saves Snowball from a dinnertime disaster–but the domestic debacles don’t end there. When Girls’ Festival arrives, Plum has to keep an eye on not one but two crazy kittens!
It’s raining, it’s pouring, Snowball is making muddy mischief–and as usual, Plum is the target of the kitty’s monkey business. The excitement doesn’t end there: from a diet food fiasco to a kidnapping cat-tastrophe and the (sometimes literal!) pointy teeth of Snowball’s tricks, the adventures are endless for the Nakarai family’s feline friends.
Plum and Snowball enjoy the seasons! Fall inspires them to write haiku and with winter comes the holidays of Christmas, New Year’s, and Valentine’s Day. Meanwhile, in the warm months of years past, Plum gets lost in the bustle of spring cleaning!
