Mylphe, a humble furniture maker, rescues an elderly witch and, in gratitude, receives a seed of a flower fairy. When the bud of the magnificent blue rose it grows into finally blossoms, a breathtakingly beautiful golden-haired man no bigger than a thumb awakens from within.
The man is Greinrode, a prince who vanished a hundred years ago after being cursed by the witch. Blessed with extraordinary beauty, he was once infamous for his debauched and dissolute ways.
Seeing the despondent prince in his tiny form, Mylphe begins tenderly caring for him, using his skilled hands to craft furniture, clothes, and everything else he might need. As the two gradually grow closer, each filling the other’s loneliness, Greinrode longs to regain his original size.
And so, in order to fulfill his wish, the two set out to seek the witch once more…?
