Following the events of Blade of Shuriken, unemployed and broke, Kyoko Shidara, aka Shuriken, takes a job with Danger Temps, basically a temp service for bodyguards. It sounds like a good idea at the time; but she is going to fight crazy vigilantes and a major terrorist organization (S.P.E.A.R.), who threatens all America. Meanwhile, Kyoko's mental state is tested. The storyline is followed in Hellbender and Shuriken(1991).
