A prequel series focusing on onmyouji Tsukasa Kenmochi.

The plot is divided into two eras, the modern era and the Heian Era. Under the blessing of an entity known as Karura, twin sisters Maiko and Shouko investigate supernatural cases and fight against ghosts and demons using the powers of the Holy Book and the Earth Book. They usually receive help from their known colleagues, such as exorcist Yami no Shiguruto.

It's the Heian Era in Ancient Japan, after numerous disasters and rebellions, The Emperor Suzaku believes Heaven has abandoned him and his advisors secretly consider ways to replace him, meanwhile, the sorcerers known as Onmyouji are dragged into a series of fights against demons summoned by mysterious curses. They will have to delve deep into conspiracies to discover the true nature of these cases.
