Nico is a teenager who lives in a shabby seaside town with her nihilistic mother and her rambunctious, but well-meaning, grandmother. But deep down, the girl has a dream: to break free of her boring bumpkin life by becoming a fashionable manga-ka! After a series of soul-crushing setbacks, Nico finally gets into the design school of her dreams, and barrels headfirst towards her goal. Along the way, she makes artsy new friends and rivals, experiences the misery of comparing your art to others', and even discovers she has an innate talent for drawing BL.
