Shimanto Shokudou

Yaro Abe, the creator of the manga ``Midnight Diner,'' which has sold a total of 4 million copies, and Fumio Sako, a manga artist and writer. An illustrated essay by two people from Shimanto, Kochi Prefecture, introducing the unique local cuisine and delicious sake of the Hata region in the southwestern part of the prefecture. Contains two works from the same manga that deal with food in Kochi, as well as the newly written ``Shimanto Shokudo.'' A supplementary reading book for ``Midnight Diner'' that describes the ultimate gourmet food and the taste of one's hometown, which can be said to be the origin of the popular manga.
