UFO Robo Grendizer

This book is one of a series of anthology comics published by Futabasha related to the long running Super Robot Wars series. Five different artists contribute a one-shot story: 1. Half God (Ashura) by Tomoshige Ishikawa 2. Rocket! Rocket! Punch punch punch!! by Takayuki Sakai 3. Great War of UFO Robot by Masahiro Fujii 4. Iron Cross Corps vs Mazin-Girls by Shinpei Ito 5. The last Space-Thunder by Tetsuya Kawaishi and Dynamic Production.

Although similar in name to the Go Nagai work, this version by Gosaku Outa is vastly different from Nagai's work.

The story will be a full reboot of Nagai's UFO Robo Grendizer story. When a great fleet of flying saucers invades Earth, it awakens the true power of Daisuke Uryuu (the main lead of UFO Robo Grendizer was named Daisuke Umon). (Source: Anime News Network)

MazinSaga is a manga written and produced by Go Nagai between 1990 and 1998; currently on going again, it's the summa of Nagai's works, for the complexity of the plot and the treated thematic content. Mazinsaga tells the story of the young Koji Kabuto, university student who finds himself having to collect the fruit of the researches of his father, physicist of world-wide reputation who died in mysterious circumstances. The boy is thus given a powerful artefact, Mazinger Z, the Armor of God.

Mazinger Angels chronicles the adventures of four women who pilot giant robots in the Mazinger vein. The concept is a spoof on the late 70's and early 80's popular TV series Charlie's Angels. Three of the robots, Aphrodite A, Diana A and Minerva X are from the original Mazinger Z series, while Venus A is from the Great Mazinger series. Their pilots are also traditional characters from Go Nagai's universe, Sayaka Yumi and Jun Hono from Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger respectively, and Hikaru Makiba and Maria Fleed from Grendizer.
