Despite Sakurai’s multiple refusals, Toyoguchi won’t take no for an answer when it comes to recruiting him to manage the girls’ lacrosse team. What’s more, her boundless enthusiasm is starting to win Sakurai over…
Now that Sakurai is the manager of the girls’ lacrosse team, his number one priority is readying his struggling players for the upcoming spring tournament. It’s bad enough that his tough practices drive players to quit, but to make matters worse, when a talented rival aims for Misora’s affections, he loses his cool. Can Sakurai really handle his new position?
After tons of hard work, sweat and tears, the team enters their first tournament. But if they want to be challengers, they’ll have to up their game both on and off the field—not only does goalie Komatsu need one-on-one training, but she and the team’s top players need to bring their grades up. And if they do advance, they’ll have to face the league’s toughest team—Choran.
Can a lacrosse team be saved by a spear and shield? Sakurai thinks so, and stakes Fujioka’s chances in the game against the unbeatable Choran on Operation: Spear and Shield. The strategy relies on forging a defense as impenetrable as a shield and puncturing Choran’s ironclad defense with an unheard of long-distance pass. There’s very little time to practice, and Choran has a few tricks up its sleeve too. The game begins!
In the second round of the final tournament, the heated battle between underdog Fujioka and undefeated Choran becomes one-sided in Choran’s favor. Sakurai’s last-ditch plan to strike back has unintended consequences, and to claim victory, Toyoguchi may have to make the ultimate sacrifice. Win or lose, when the final whistle blows, nothing will be the same for the characters of Cross Manage!
