Miya's Love

This story follows Gorou, as the only son of a sake brewer he has always found himself drawn to painting pictures. At the age of 16 he runs away by himself at night to Tokyo to escape his father's problems with women. There he gets lost in romance in the big city and searches for meaning through his paintings. Modeled after the Kikuzaka Hotel in Hongo, where Yumeji Takehisa lived with his girlfriend, Oha, the story is told through the eyes of Yaeko, the daughter of the owner of the Kikuzaka Hotel, who portrays the lives of such historical writers and painters.
