When the unmotivated editor of a mahjong manga magazine, Sakaguchi, stops at a convenience store in the middle of a business meeting, he is reunited with his senior high school underclassman, Fujishiro. Fujishiro's ability forced Sakaguchi to abandon his dreams of becoming a mangaka, but Fujishiro has stopped writing and is living the life of a part-timer. In order to get Fujishiro to draw manga once more, Sakaguchi meddles in Fujishiro's business. With its novelty, Fujishiro's manga becomes popular, and when he's lured away by a major publishing company, Sakaguchi thinks that that is the end of their relationship.

Sakaguchi and Fujishiro are high school seniors and juniors who reunite, and have gone from being manga artists and manga editors to lovers. After overcoming many hardships, they become friends with Sakaguchi's family and it seems like smooth sailing, but then trouble strikes!　They decide to consult with Sakaguchi's friend Misaki, who works for a real estate company, about buying a place to live and work, but Fujishiro has had a hard time with Misaki since their high school days. Misaki informs her that Sakaguchi used to aspire to be a manga artist, but gave up that dream because of Fujishiro's presence. Fujishiro is shocked and - ! ? The series comes to an imposing conclusion!
