Reggie Byers self-published comic about the Japanese-American martial artist Kyoko Shidara, who is tired from working as a bodyguard for a criminal organization (The Organization) and decides to become a freelance bodyguard instead. In one of her assignments , she meets his brother Koji after many years and discovers that he has became a assassin for hire for the yakuza. She tries to talk with him and get him out of that life. The story is continued in Blade of Shuriken, published by Eternity.

This miniseries continues from Shuriken (1986), an depicts Kyoko Shidara in his new work as bodyguard for the mayor of Philadelphia. She meets her aunt Oka again (who is fleeing from a mysterious assailant) and fights the local maffia (who tries to kill the mayor). The series is followed by Shuriken Team-up and Shuriken Cold Steel.
