June 1979. Akira Iwamori and his daughter Aiko come to Ugashirakawa Village, the countryside of his late wife Setsuko, to visit his grave for the first time in three years. Suddenly, the mountain village is hit by heavy rain, and the corpse of a young man is discovered. The young people are excited that Daisuke, a problem child and the son of Yoshiro Yahagi, an influential person in the village, is the culprit, but no one can oppose the Yahagi family, and the incident becomes a mystery. The conflicts between the families begin to emerge, and the young people form a vigilante group. A crazy tragedy unfolds in an isolated village.
