The story follows Masaoka Masahiro, a teenager known in the underground mahjong world as "Ma-bou", as he plays progressively higher stakes mahjong matches, outsmarting most of his opponents by unorthodox strategies, psychological manipulation, and cheating.

Mashiro Shiki, a member of the idol group Als, is thrilled to be cast in a long-desired TV drama series. The lead role is played by the rapidly rising actor Kirigaya Sui. As filming begins, Shiki senses a barrier between them, feeling that Sui views him merely as an “idol.” Determined to bridge the gap, Shiki openly expresses his feelings about the drama to Sui. As they work together, Shiki discovers unexpected facets of Sui’s personality, leading to a shift in his emotions. What begins as admiration gradually evolves into a deep sense of fandom...
