Mushrooms enjoy immense popularity not only in cooking but also as collectibles—from sundries and stamps to photographs, literature, music, film, art, and apps. This book features a meticulously curated selection of mushroom manga from the vast library of Iizawa Koutarou, author of numerous mushroom-related works including Kinoko Bungaku Daizen and Magical Mushroom Tour. The result is the long-awaited “Kinoko Manga Meisakusen.” The cover design is by Yoshioka Hidenori (September Cowboy), who also designed Kinoko Bungaku Meisakusen and “Houshi Bungaku Meisakusen.” The book design embodies the mystery, toxicity, and mystique of mushrooms—neither plant nor animal, possessing both nourishment and poison. An essential volume for all mushroom lovers!!
