Young gamer Shuutarou is among the lucky few chosen to playtest Eternity, the latest VRMMORPG, and he wastes no time in activating his unique dungeon creation skill…at the exact moment when the game glitches out! Non-material entities called "sabers" take possession of a body when in order to protect our world by killing "frame users" that come from another dimension. When a saber takes control over a body the host looses consciousness. Strangely enough Kaon doesn't loose her consciousness when her saber takes control. How will she react to when facing other the monsters that threaten her life?
The sci-fi survival manga is about three high school friends: Manatsu Kurashiki, a member of the school's Kendo club; Tsumugi Midorikawa, who streams live videos of insects; and Ayano Yamaji, who likes reading about occult topics and urban legends. The three friends fail their exam, and they have to attend a supplementary class on the first day of summer. During their supplementary class, a helicopter from the Self-Defense Force suddenly lands on the school ground. The soldiers explain to their teacher that the town is in lockdown due to a nano machine attack. The three friends watching everything from their classroom are in shock when they see their teacher suddenly getting devoured by a huge number of ants.
Tomoko Ninomiya is a professional mangaka and the director of the 'Institute of investigation of drunk people'. She and her fellows are addicted to alcohol and want to study to effects on themselves, but they always drink too much and do nothing related to the study.
