In New York City in 1926, Augustus Pickford, a photographer for the minor news agency World News Pictures, infiltrated a hospital to take pictures of the mafia boss Giancarlo, who had been shot and hospitalized. He was the only one who succeeded in entering Giancarlo's hospital room, but as Augustus tried to take the picture, Giancarlo dictated his final will as he died.
