The year is 1961. Sadaharu Oh of the Yomiuri Giants, in a critical situation due to an injury during a game, had a sudden flash of insight that enabled him to read the thoughts of the opposing pitcher. He remembered he had a similar experience in junior high school. He tried various methods, but the ability of the future sight worked only once in five. After much anguish, he consulted with Coach Arakawa, who taught him to trigger his ability by putting himself in an unstable state with the one-legged hitting method. From then on, Ou mass-produced home runs using the one-legged batting technique to become the undisputed No. 3 hitter of the Giants and win multiple home run crowns.

During winter vacation, Hideo accompanied his brother Yusuke on a whaling ship to the Southern Ocean. There, they were attacked by a scorpion monster. Hideo launched an electric harpoon to drive off the monster and allowed their ship to escape. A few days later, Dr. Carl Schmidt came from Germany and revealed the true identity of the monster on TV. The monster, named Sasora by the scientists, was a red scorpion modified for military use by Dr. Von Schmidt's brother during World War II. However, just as he was about to carry out his plan, the FBI destroyed his laboratory in the Amazon, and the red scorpion disappeared into the jungle. Dr. Carl speculated that the red scorpion was exposed to radiation from a nuclear test in the Amazon and became a giant. He apologized on behalf of his late brother, but then came the news that Sasora was on its way to Tokyo!

Tendou Toramaru was an orphan from a small country defeated during the Warring States period. Having lost his parents in the futile battle, he wished for a world where the common people can live peacefully. Without personal ambition or greed, he served as a strategist to help Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi lead their armies to victory, using military science he learned from an early age. After many victories, Toramaru was convinced that Hideyoshi will successfully reunite the entire country. So he left the camp to help those who had lost their parents and family members to recover from the war. After that, it was said that Toramaru was an active advisor in the Korean campaign by Hideyoshi's wish.

August 1943. The Japanese airbase at Rabaul was being harassed by American attacks. Defended by a large fleet of battleships and destroyers, the carrier island was equipped with the devil's secret weapon, an anti-aircraft gun with radar, which made it impossible to launch a preemptive attack. When the base captain was explaining this to a team of reporters, a reporter from the mainland pointed out one of them was a fake. His name is Yoshihiko Nanjo. After graduating from the army school, he was given the code name Sakura No. 1 and assigned to infiltrate the carrier island to destroy the anti-aircraft guns. He was injured and captured by the enemy who wanted to learn his secrets. But he escaped using the special tool hidden in his clothing. He stole an aircraft with a bomb, hoping to take out the anti-aircraft gun, but the bomb failed to explode. Bombarded by shells, the aircraft was badly damaged and he was seriously injured, Sakura No. 1 sent his plane at the anti-aircraft gun on a suicide attack, successfully destroying it at the cost of his own life. The tragic hero Sakura No. 1 accomplished his mission without anyone knowing.

The year was 1941, and the Pacific War was imminent. Private Hayato Yabuki was sentenced to hang for protecting an American from the military police. However, with the help of a mysterious soldier, he was secretly rescued and taken to the Nakano School, where he underwent rigorous training to become a military spy. He was given the code name "Kikusui No. 3," and graduated with honors due to his outstanding athletic ability. As his first mission, Kikusui No. 3 was sent to the Philippines to support the war effort from the shadows and protect the Chief of Staff, who was the cornerstone of the unit. However, in the chaos of the enemy counterattack during the battle, the Chief of Staff was captured! If the Chief of Staff is tortured into revealing classified information, it could turn the tide of battle. Relying on the transmitter attached to the Chief of Staff, Kikusui No. 3 located the Chief in the enemy's fortress. Using tricks such as projectors and balloon bombs to confuse the enemy forces, Kikusui No. 3 finally rescued the Chief of Staff with his Daikoku Ninpo techniques, and his first mission was a success. Then, in August 1945, a few days before the atomic bomb was dropped on Japan, an American aircraft carrier was sunk by a mysterious explosion, and Kikusui No. 3's weapons trunk was found floating off the coast of Okinawa. Did he fulfill his mission and escape? If the Nakano School had been established five years earlier, could the defeat in the Pacific War have been reversed... Farewell, Kikusui No. 3!
