On his trip to New York City, college student Takeru gets lost in the wrong part of town. He gets attacked, but is rescued by a man named Rei. The story centers on an 11-year-old boy who hates the lack of unique individuality in the world, and hates that he himself lacks individuality. One day, he finds that everything that might give a person individuality — such as their faces, names, and personal information — have been erased from his sight, as if by a marker pen. He later learns that this is a fatal disease, and that he will not live past 12. He rejoices, having acquired the unique trait of "tragic main character," and moreover takes great pleasure in being the first to die from this disease so the disease will be named after him. At least, until a girl appears with the same disease. He quickly becomes disappointed that the girl seems to have a more unique spark to her, and her life expectancy is even shorter than his. To top it off, he learns that the disease might end up being named after her. He resolves to kill her before that happens.

The legendary loner Bolt Crank, who is the top adventurer in the world, has appeared once again. He takes on a variety of jobs in this far-future world, using his extraordinary ability, which is to eat anything (from screws to humanoid robots) and then reform it from his arm later, to great effect.

This Manga doesn't actually have any plot since it is a Manga-how to" rather than a work of fiction. Broken down into 3 parts, the first part is a series of lessons by Akira Toriyama on how to draw Manga (including what not to do), this part is rather amusing to read. The second part is a series of technical pointers from Akira Sakuma, this part is less amusing than the first. The last section is comprised of comments made by Toriyama in regards to amateur Manga work sent in to him in a contest sponsored by Shonen Jump.

Yuki Anno just turned into a high school student. From the beginning everything seemed to go wrong. Yuki is very nervous and what's worse, she is in a different class from her best friend Jiu. Yuki feels unwanted and decides to make new friends. Upon arriving at her new class, she is frightened to see so many people and out of class, but a boy, Yuki Saeki, grabs and welcomes her, saying it is the cousin of Jiu. Saeki receives a sheet of paper and Yuki both converse wrote. Yuki goes to see him and Jiu and says that he would like to be the manager of the football team, but was not sure because there are other girls in class that she could do better.
