Mutsuki is a designer who loves shoujo manga and cute idols, cherishing his otaku hobbies while living a life mostly disconnected from others. One day, he meets Seki, a god who claims to be running away from home for personal reasons. To Mutsuki's surprise, Seki had once read the first volume of a beloved shoujo manga that Mutsuki accidentally left near a shrine years ago. Deeply moved by it, Seki has been longing to read the rest ever since. Shocked by their shared interest, Mutsuki lets Seki read the rest at his place. After finishing the manga, they end up geeking out together, and Mutsuki finds the conversation incredibly fun. Realizing how nice it is to have someone who shares his passion nearby, Mutsuki starts thinking maybe having an otaku friend around could actually be pretty great. The udon Yabuki makes is so delicious that Haru makes sure to visit again during his next trip to Kyushu. Later, Yabuki's shop expands to Tokyo and quickly becomes a popular spot. Even during busy hours, Yabuki always greets Haru with a warm smile whenever he visits. Then one day, Yabuki suddenly confesses, saying, "I really like ya, Haru-san."
