The story centers around a boy named Ken Raiga. Raiga participates in Virtual Zoids Battles, but instead of using a chip or a card with Zoid info, an actual Zoid model is scanned into a computer system for the battler to use. This puts a big emphasis on customizing Zoids, as any custom parts or enhancements to the model will be inputted in the system for battle. Also to encourage readers to customize Zoids, there are a few short comics that give actual tips on how to customize a Zoid,including some tool and material recommendations.
