Manga artist Masumi Sudou had a cat. His name was Yuzu. She would chronicle her life with him over the course of multiple essay manga series, such as *Donguri-kun* and the concisely titled *Yuzu*. *Nagai Nagai Sanpo* (lit. *A Long, Long Walk*) is the last of those chapters, and tells the story of a woman, her beloved cat, and the last of their time together on this Earth.

The story follows the adventures of Filena, the only survivor of the royal family in the ocean kingdom of Filosena which is destroyed by the ruling empire.
