Serialized in Cyber Comics with GAINAX credited for creating the original story for the first two chapters. Also known as the “Jupiter Trilogy.” Two years after the end of the One Year War, the space fortress ship “Aria”—the only manned spacecraft in Jupiter’s orbit—is on a mission to destroy a factory ship constructed in Jupiter’s orbit to cut off the Federation’s supply of helium. Johnny Ridden and Tita, a female pilot believed to be a Newtype, who are aboard the Aria, are attacked by a phantom of Char. (Jupiter Mirage-1 and 2) Physical chemist Niki Shimazu, protesting the Jupiter Orbit Research Foundation’s concealment of technology, seized the helium collection ship “Acta” and descended toward Jupiter. The Republic of Zeon hastily secured the Foundation as a sponsor and dispatched the deep-space vessel “Helldiver” to Jupiter with a crew of five. A manga anthology based on Osomatsu-san by the editorial department of Boy's Love publisher Libre Shuppan.
300 years after the Death of Star Face, marionettes were created with maiden circuits based on the six originals, however, the maiden circuits have degenerated in each generation of marionettes, and marionettes with defective maiden circuits become rogue marionettes that go berserk and destroy anything in their path. Kitajima, the daughter of the late professor Kitajima who was researching the cure for maiden circuits going out of control, wishes to finish her late father’s work and is looking for the “Inheritance of Face”. It is said to contain the answers as to why later maiden circuits are going haywire. But as they went to investigate the tomb of Face, they were attacked by a group of rogue marionettes and they were rescued by a strange marionette who calls herself, Zero. *Note: This series was originally written as an OVA sequel for Saber Marionette R, but it was later abandoned. Instead, an 8 chapter serial was released. The first 7 chapters are manga, while the last chapter was released in novel format. This chapter is not included in this entry.*
