Satsuki and Kanna are two sisters living in a secluded village in the mountains. As the older sister, Satsuki, is working on the topic of "kitsune and superstition", they encounter a girl possessed by a kitsune spirit.

Utame Urashima is a famous ballerina who claims to be the descendant of Urashima Tarou from the fairy tale, and claims to have visited the Dragon Palace, as did her ancestor.

Mako Umezu, the little sister of the horror mangaka Kazuo Umezu, opens a strange fan-letter adressed to her brother. Inside the envelope, Mako finds the picture of a girl, two big snake scales and a letter from a girl named Youko Numeta, saying that those snake scales are in fact the scales of her step-sister, Kurumi.

Takako and Miyako, daughters of an arachnologist father, have a new stepmother. At first they live happily as a newly-formed family, but in reality the stepmother plan to murder the whole family with spider poison for inheriting the family fortune. Takako is the first to be killed, but she then comes back to life as an old woman, and now seek to take revenge on her stepmother and to protect Miyako.

Because of some abnormal sunspots, the climate of Earth starts to change to become more arid, and a new species of ant-people appears within humanity. Isn't it the "evolution"? Isn't "natural selection" that ant-people are taking over humans?

Midori is fascinated by Yukiko's comb, a keepsake from her deceased big sister, because it makes a beautiful song each time she runs the comb through her hair with it. Without thinking about it, Midori ends up stealing the comb. But then, a lot of her hair fall each time she uses the comb!

Omitsu, an adopted daughter died of illness. On her deathbed, she asked to her parent to no adopt any child after her death. But a few years later, Hinako is adopted by the family, and strange events start to occur...
