Riko (Ritsuko) is the daughter of the head of a hospital situated in South Africa. When Riko's parents do not return from their search of crucial medicine, it's up to her and a colorful crew from around the world to search for them.

Yuka's dad went to study art in France and never came back, leaving Yuka alone. Yuka becomes lonely and the children around her look at her with cold eyes, but little by little she starts conquering their hearts.

Despite his parents' objections, Daisuke Shiro, a young teacher, took a job at a small school in the countryside. He was not welcomed by the villagers and their children, who saw him as an outsider. However, as Daisuke treated his students with compassion, they gradually come to understand each other. Daisuke and the students practiced hard for the big sports day competition between the local villages, and their bond is further strengthened. At the same time, children of migrant workers, who have been neglected due to the absence of their parents, came to the village and caused trouble.
