In the year 200X, a Japanese fleet consisting of 3 vessels leave on a mission to South America. After encountering a storm, the ship JDS Mirai find themselves without their escorts and in 1942, traveling towards the island of Midway to face the American fleet in one of largest battles in naval history. The crew of MIrai must decide whether or not to change the course of history by involving itself in WWII.
During the cold war, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force jointly developed a nuclear submarine with the United States Navy. On its maiden voyage, the captain declares the submarine to be an independent state, "Yamato."

Medusa is a story of siblings Tatsuo and Yoko, that starts during the peak of the turbulent Vietnam War years. Tatsuo is a straight-laced Tokyo College student, the adopted son of a liberal politician. His sister Yoko is a revolutionary who plans to change Japan through protest; he plans to change Japan by rising in politics. Despite their similar views and love for each other, their different approaches lead to a conflict that drives them apart.
The manga centers on two men: a Japanese police officer who has secretly trained in Jerusalem, and a Japanese man who heads a group of armed insurgents in Iraq.
Genjirou, now grown up, is trying to rebuild what used to be Japan into something new after the devastation.
