The plot involves an alien empire from the planet "Dada" called the "Robot Army Corps". When they kidnap a human scientist, Dr. Hayami, and two of his three sons and force him to improve their technology, he has no choice but to go along with them, despite his deep anger, resentment, and guilt. One year later, their empire sufficiently advanced, the Robot Army Corps return to Earth, ready to put their plans into action-- however, two heretofore unknown robots charge in and stop their invasion cold. It is then revealed that Dr. Hayami programmed the personalities of his two kidnapped sons, Jouji and Ryouji, into these super-powered robots to both stop the Robot Army he was forced to work for, and care for his youngest son, Kenji. Jouji and Ryouji, now "Skyzel" (as in "sky) and "Granzel" (as in "ground"), are armed with awesome strength and powerful shape-shifting abilities, able to transform into a jet and a car respectively. With these abilities, they carry on their father's legacy and fulfill his wishes.

The cool, beautiful Hikaru Tsuki shows up at Tozai Academy’s elementary school as a new teacher one day. But her true identity is that of a Peacekeeper—and princess!—from the planet Alpha, dispatched to Earth by the Andromeda Branch of the Space Alliance. She secretly investigates the earthlings while living among them under her assumed identity. Aside from her research, she uses the mystical powers of her Moonlight Ring to help the people around her with their problems. With her guidance, even sworn enemies turn into friends—but her eagerness to help sometimes leads to even more trouble! Joining her in her journey are an ensemble of zany, outlandish characters, including her assistant Baru, and the many monsters and oddball villains who regularly show up to wreak havoc!

When Toru Godaiji wakes up, he is in Tokiwaso in 1961! It seems that he is possessed by mangaka Shotaro Ishimori's assistant. Godaiji, who knows the "future," predicts that Ishimori will later draw "Cyborg 009" and that the troubled Fujio Akatsuka will succeed with his gag manga. He then slips through time and space to the year 1999 as predicted by Nostradamus, to the anime production site of "Astro Boy," and even to his own past......

Set in an alternate history of Japan, freelance photographer Minagami Hayato returns to his hometown of Ootomo to investigate rumors of a man wearing a skull mask committing murders there. Once in the city, he discovers connections between the victims and a local pharmaceutical company, a new religious sect, and strange half human, half animal creatures. Along with a young photographer, he decides to find out who the Skull Man really is.
