Hotaru is a girl in her twilight years who has had a string of bad luck since her trip to Greece. One day, Kanzaki, a handsome man in a suit, appears at her doorstep. He claims to be a customs official who controls "ayakashi" (scarecrows) coming from overseas. He explains to the clueless Hotaru that her bad luck is due to the fact that she was possessed by an ayakashi on her trip. Hotaru is skeptical, but when Kanzaki touches her, she begins to see Cerberus puppies, the ayakashi that haunts her!
