Go Nagai returns to one of his most famous creations: Jeeg, the robot created with Tatsuya Yasuda. This time flanked by Shinobu Kaze, grappling with a new version of the famous steel warrior, who, once again, will save the future of humanity. The opera is captured with a decidedly hard boiled imprint, between political intrigues and martial arts, almost evoking Hong Kong action cinema.

While journalist Mike Donovan was filming soldiers in combat in El Salvador, huge UFOs (later called "mother ships") from the Sirius star system, 8.6 light years from the solar system, suddenly appeared in the sky in many places around the world. After making contact for the first time by radio transmission, following a countdown, they agree on a first direct contact with the UN Secretary General. The aliens appear to be human in form and declare that they have come in peace, gradually settling in among the population. They say they want to share their knowledge in exchange for terrestrial chemicals that are supposed to solve their environmental problems on the planet of their star system ("much more serious" than ours). But their real intentions are quite different... In fact, the visitors are secretly pumping out all the water on Earth. Moreover, they are 'lizards' (also known as 'reptilians' or humanoid reptiles) who regard humans as food. So they want to fill their larder with millions of earthlings (among others). Little by little, a secret organisation of resistance fighters, led by Mike Donovan and Dr Julie Parrish, assisted by rebel visiting soldiers ("the Fifth Column"), is organised for a titanic battle. A battle that is far from won, as Diana, a high-ranking officer in the invaders' army, wants to subdue humanity completely at all costs. (Source: Mangas.io, translated)
