In a distant future, Man is long gone, but the mice and rats have evolved and developed their own modern societies, complete with commerce, transportation, education, family values, friendships, prejudices... and war. While an uneasy peace exists between the nations of Mousputa and Ratvaria, subversive forces are at work to make sure it doesn't last, forces willing to use the terrible weapons of ancient Man! It's up to Captain Tiny and two plucky young boys to seek out the conspirators and undermine their plot before Rodentkind follows Man into extinction!
The series plot started rather simply: Princess Asrial was sent to Earth to find Jeremy Feeple and marry him, an act that was described as required to ensure that their enemies do not lay claim to the planet. Since Earth was a non-aligned world, anyone could claim it, and the Salusians were desperate to keep it from being used against them. Ichi went to America to marry Jeremy as well, although her reason's for the trip were different, in order to become leader of her clan, her grandfather informed her that she had to marry the boy, the reason behind this is that Jeremy's mother was raised by this grandfather, and they wanted to be blood related. Unfortunately, shortly after landing, Asrial, Ichi, and Jeremy Feeple get caught up in a whirlwind of comic mischief, fighting, and plots by local villains to take over the planet. The comic often features parody versions of other comics or television shows, usually Japanese, like Kamen Rider, Power Rangers, Harry Potter, Superman, The Powerpuff Girls, Terminator, Ninja Gaiden, Transformers and the Gundam series.
Spinning out of the world of Scout, writer-artist Timothy Truman’s futuristic Western, Swords of Texas is the story of a rough-and-tumble mercenary group that takes the fight deep into Communist-controlled Mexico in an effort to gain money, guns, and a little bit of vengeance. Banner, Jade, and their cohorts are tough-as-nails, and while readers may root for them, they are not necessarily the best examples of right and righteousness; they do what they do for profit and make no bones about it. This four-issue mini-series is the work of writer Chuck Dixon (Nightwing, Birds of Prey) and artist Ben Dunn (Ninja High School), and it’s a thrill-a-minute.
