16-year-old Nanakusa is spending his mundane life on "Stairway Island" where he found himself "discarded" along with 2000 other people, all missing the memories of the time just before they arrived there. The name of the island originates from the long stairway running through the island and extending up to the summit of the mountain where the witch who rules the island is said to live. The only way to leave the island is by finding what was lost. Yet Nanakusa doesn't wish to leave this stagnant island. He enjoys his life there. That is until Manabe Yuu, his childhood friend appears in front of him, and turns his new life upside-down. Why did Manabe Yuu, the world's most optimistic person, get discarded, and who is the witch behind all these mysterious occurrences? Follow Nanakusa and Manabe as they uncover the true nature of Stairway Island.
Flower Thieves takes place thousands of years after a war between humans and demons destroyed much of the life on the planet, turning the world into a scorched wasteland. Set in a dystopian future, the manga features a large group of humans on their last leg, living in the overcrowded city of Upper Hose where flowers and other flora are rare and valuable. When a plant-eating monster known as a "Flower-Thief" attacks a mysterious girl named Jechika, a young boy, Maxi, must use a forbidden ARM weapon to save her, and is subsequently expelled from the city for using illegal technology. Traveling into the wilderness with Jechika and a florist named Gi, Maxi sets off on a quest to restore the balance of nature throughout the world and make the earth habitable again. Nearly half the population of Sakurada, a small town near the Pacific Ocean, has some sort of unique power. These powers range from being able to enter the mind of a cat, to resetting the world back to a certain point in time in the past. There is a group known as the "Kanrikyoku" that controls and monitors the use of these powers. Asai Kei and Haruki Misora work for their school's club called "Houshi" club, which execute any missions received from the Kanrikyoku. Misora has the ability to reset the world 3 days. This means that all events and any memory of the past 3 days that "could have" happened, never happened. Kei has the ability to "remember" the past. Even after Misora uses her powers to reset the world back 3 days, Kei will retain those 3 days in his memory. Combining their powers, these two solve missions issued by the Kanrikyoku.
