These sites do not host or distribute unauthorised copies of primary literary works (e.g., full manga chapters, novel volumes, PDFs, or scanlations).

We utilise cloud storage and a global Content Delivery Network (CDN) to serve promotional assets (specifically cover art and banners). These images are stored on our infrastructure to ensure service stability and to prevent bandwidth abuse on external publisher servers. These assets are:

  • Sourced Officially: Retrieved from public publisher listings or provided directly to us by rights holders for promotional purposes.
  • Stored for Performance: Cached and served via our own infrastructure to ensure high availability without imposing load on the original sources.
  • Used for Citation: Displayed solely for the purpose of identification, cataloguing, and detailed bibliographic reference.

All metadata published is curated and reviewed by our internal team and includes:

  • Media type classification (manga, manhwa, novel, etc.)
  • Licensing status in English and other languages
  • Publisher information by region and language
  • Official and unofficial title names
  • Descriptions and tags generated by our team
  • Links to third-party databases (e.g., MyAnimeList, MangaUpdates, AniList)
  • Links to official retailers and publisher websites
  • Cover images and banners sourced officially to aid in edition identification
  • Related titles and news references

This information is compiled to aid in discovery, research, and cataloguing. We do not enable or promote piracy, nor do we mirror or distribute licensed content.

If you are a rights holder and believe a specific page contains incorrect or unauthorized use of protected material, please send a takedown request including:

  • Your full legal name and contact information
  • A detailed description of the copyrighted work
  • The exact URL(s) in question
  • A statement that:

Editorial and Review Process

All metadata is submitted, maintained, and updated by our internal data curation team.
While users may submit requests for data corrections or updates, our team independently verifies all information and retains final editorial discretion over what is displayed. We do not host unmoderated third-party uploads: all content is strictly vetted prior to publication.

We reserve the right to reject takedown requests that are mistaken, overly broad, or abusive in nature. If clarification is required, we may contact the requester prior to any action.

Non-Commercial Status

The mangabaka.org, mangabaka.moe, and mangabaka.dev websites are strictly non-commercial.
We do not display ads, accept donations, or generate any revenue of any kind.
The content is offered solely for informational, archival, and educational purposes in support of media cataloguing and discovery.

There are no monetization mechanisms associated with our infrastructure or services.

Hosting Location

Our infrastructure is hosted in Hetzner’s Falkenstein datacenter (fsn1) located in Germany.
Static assets (images) are delivered via a global Content Delivery Network (Cloudflare) to ensure performance and reduce latency.

Any legal disputes regarding content hosted on our infrastructure are subject to the relevant EU laws.
